Not A No!

I've been thinking about what we call and consider unanswered prayers lately. I find that when we don't hear a Yes or an answer at all that we assume the answer is no. I believe that the answer is Not A No we just have to go through the process. Silence is not no..Press play and hear more thoughts on this topic.

I've been thinking about unanswered prayers lately. I find that when we don't hear a Yes or any answer at all that we assume the answer is no. When we don't know the end from the beginning it is easy to get lost in the middle. When we've been waiting for days, weeks, months, years and decades it's easy to assume nothing will happen. But I believe we miss the element of time and the element of the process. Silence is not a no. Years is not a no. Time is not a no. It is hard for us to put all the pieces together. It can be difficult trying to make it make sense. But that is when we lean in harder and trust Him more.

When we say or assume No we are calling it final, over, and done. That can bring a sense of peace and ease but is it the truth? For some situations it is but for many, it is not. We serve the Author of Time whose ways are not our ways and His thought aren't ours either. Knowing this may not solve all of our problems or even answer all of our questions but it can bring peace. It can also bring hope and expectation. Perspective is everything and our willingness to adjust it can change our outlook, view, and projections.

May this be a glimmer of hope and a spark of joy knowing that silence doesn't mean know. May we learn to enjoy waiting for our set time and do our part to be our best selves for when that moment arrives.
