Choice

For a while, I’ve been pondering the vastness of the word, Choice. The power, impact, and ripple effect that can be experienced by individuals or masses based on it. Do we really consider that Choice is a power? Some choices take little effort or thought, while others demand careful consideration. In this understanding, Choice is more than a power it is also a gift, but how often do we view it as such? I’ve not known it to be presented in such a way but my meditation on it has opened my eyes to see it through a new lens. In contemplating, I wrote the following:

Who knew Choice had a voice that screamed and yelled while whispering at the same time?

Who knew Choice defied time, sometimes needing months to days or making a decision on a dime?

Who knew Choice had a scent, sometimes permeating fresh and sweet, or an odor that needs to vent?

Who knew Choice had a gauge, that was nice and steady or a frightening stance when enraged?

Does the canvas painted by these descriptions paint Choice in a new light for you? Do you have a new view? How have you been using this power and gift in your journey? Pause for a moment and reflect on the intricate dance of your choices—the choices that led you here, to this very juncture. How has the symphony of your decisions shaped the narrative of your life? Each Choice is a note in the grand composition of your existence, and together, they create a harmonious melody uniquely yours.
