Honesty

How honest are you with yourself? It's a strange yet powerful question. We often present a certain image to the world, but what about our inner truth? In the past, I found myself not always being honest with myself, especially when trying to put my thoughts and feelings on paper. Some ideas were too daunting to pen down, and certain perspectives remained elusive. However, over time, I came to realize that it wasn't necessarily dishonesty but rather a lack of readiness. Some conversations were not yet meant to be had; some truths were not prepared to surface.

Honestly, honesty wasn't always part of my chemistry.

My molecular system shunned and hid that part of me.

For it would reflect a view you see, that was not favorably.

I couldn't reveal the fragmented heart full of pain and debris.

Instead of pressuring myself to confront everything at once, I embraced self-compassion and patience. I created a safe space for reflection and gradually opened up to challenging truths. Just as flowers need time to bloom, certain realizations also need nurturing before they can blossom into conscious awareness. Through this process, I realized that self-honesty isn't about perfection; it's about authenticity. The journey of self-honesty involves acknowledging these weaknesses with humility, seeking God's guidance, and leaning on His strength to face our inner challenges.

By accepting our imperfections and fears through the lens of faith, we discover a profound personal transformation. We recognize that God's love is not conditional on our perfection but on our willingness to seek Him with sincerity. In His presence, we find the courage to let go of pain and debris, and His divine light illuminates the path toward wholeness. So, take a step towards being more honest with yourself, and let the transformative journey begin.
