Different

Yesterday I was having a conversation with a Pastor. I got ready to make a statement but sent it to myself as a text first because I knew I would need to expand and expound on it. What I shared with her was this, “As off as John the Baptist looked to others he was in the perfect will of God.” A person who was considered the strangest by men was called the greatest by heaven.

I’ve been thinking about this since yesterday. We have to stop demonizing different. When people go against the grain, create a new norm and step out of boxes it doesn’t mean they are off or wrong. Many are trying to discover how God wants to operate through them and that may not look like the status quo.

I want to encourage those who are different and pursuing different. Embrace your uniqueness and allow God to guide your path. Declare like Jesus, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. Don’t allow systems, boxes, or structures to relegate or limit you from fullness. Your difference and uniqueness may be the key to someone’s healing, hope, and salvation.
