Compassion

I was sitting at my desk minding my own business thinking about compassion (sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others). There are multiple scripture references which say Jesus was moved with compassion. I then heard, "Compassion moves it doesn't criticize or ridicule!" This now posses the question, What is moving us?
