Better

1/8/20

I woke up this morning thinking about a disturbing video I watched from a prominent woman in ministry. She spoke things that were not true or relevant to why she was even on the platform. She spewed out her opinion but the way women were standing and screaming amen and raising their hands were as if it were Bible. I then began to ponder on how many people have titles but they don't take full responsibility for everything that comes with that title. People receive, embrace and respond to EVERYTHING you do and say many times because of that title. Few are unable to distinguish you in your flesh from the office or position that you carry. Titles have been given and people feel that they should be trusted, but titles don't automatically equal the person has Character. Do you have the Character for the Power? This is a fair question which I'm not only posing to you I'm also asking myself. When you don't respect power you abuse it. When you don't value influence you abuse it. When you are released before your time you hurt it and others. This is my season of working diligently on my Character. It's not something I fear I actually embrace it and am thankful for it. Pausing and stillness isn't punishment it's a time of character building if you allow it. If you are a person of influence please wield the influence rightly especially if God is connected to it. #WeGottaDoBetter
